Advance Care Planning

In this nine-part talk, Dr. Teno summarizes key issues in Advance Care Planning (ACP) Three court cases that have affected ACP legal policy are addressed in detail. In addition, Dr. Teno describes two stories that depict two very different patients—a young, "healthy" patient with cancer and an older woman with advanced dementia.

At the end of this talk, clinicians will be able to understand the role of advance directives in end-of-life decision-making and learn a new approach to advance care planning.
